The Crafting Halls

History The Crafting Halls of Wistross have been a cornerstone of the magical academy since its founding over a thousand years ago. Originally, the halls were a simple workshop for the few craftsmen at the school. However, as Wistross grew and attracted talented individuals from all over the land, the halls were magically expanded to accommodate the growing number of artisans and their diverse needs. The corridor was enchanted by the legendary Archmage Elowen, who wove complex spells to ensure each door would transform its interior space according to the profession and requirements of the individual entering it. This led to a revolutionary approach to crafting, allowing smiths, alchemists, tailors, and other craftsmen to work in perfect harmony within the same corridor.   The Crafting Halls of Wistross harness their power from the Heartstone, a radiant crystal embedded deep within the foundations of the academy. The Heartstone channels raw magical energy from the ley lines that crisscross beneath Wistross, serving as a limitless power source for the enchanting spells and magical enhancements needed in the Crafting Halls. Over the centuries, the Heartstone has been meticulously maintained and augmented by generations of master artisans, ensuring its steady flow of energy empowers every corner of the expansive halls. Integrated into this are the Arcane Conduits, intricate networks of enchanted metal and gemstone veins that span the entire length and breadth of the Crafting Halls. These conduits allow for seamless transfer of magical energy to specific landmarks, such as The Great Forge and The Hall of Mirrors, ensuring that each artisan's workspace receives the precise amount of power required for their unique crafting processes. The innovative use of the Heartstone and Arcane Conduits exemplifies the unparalleled ingenuity and cooperative spirit that define the crafting legacy of Wistross. Notable Landmarks Notable landmarks within the Crafting Halls include the Hall of Mirrors, a grand space where light and reflections are used to craft intricate illusions; The Great Forge, an immense, magically fueled forge where master blacksmiths create legendary weapons; The Alchemist’s Nook, a cozy, herb-filled room perfect for potion brewing; and The Tailor’s Alcove, a space where fabrics and threads come to life in the hands of skilled weavers and seamstresses. Each of these landmarks is a testament to the diverse and rich crafting culture fostered within Wistross.
