Once a revered member of a celestial order, Manakel fell from grace after being tempted by the power of infernal magic. Seeking redemption yet unable to renounce the power he had tasted, he devoted himself to mastering the art of demon summoning. Fleeing to Wistross, an arcane academy that tolerates such pursuits, he became an instructor. His motivations are dual: to atone by educating others in the responsible use of infernal magic, and to ensure he never again feels powerless. Manakel's goals are to protect his students from the dangers of demonic forces while simultaneously increasing his own power to overcome any threat.
Tall and imposing, with a lean, muscular build. His skin has a faint ethereal glow reminiscent of his celestial heritage, though marred by dark, almost infernal tattoos that spiral across his arms and torso. His eyes are a striking contrast: one is a piercing silver, and the other a deep crimson. His long, silver hair falls loosely around his shoulders, often partially obscuring his stern, angular face.
Manakel is a conflicted individual, torn between his inherently good nature and a deep-seated selfishness. He genuinely cares for his students and seeks to impart his knowledge responsibly, but he has little tolerance for those who impede his progress. His deeply repressed sadism shows itself  exacting punishment on those who wrong him and can become obsessively driven if he feels powerless.
