Anchorome Lore

Anchorome is a continent to the west of faerun, making Forgotten Realms lore highly relevant to its history. Close to Anchorome is Evermeet, the sacred isle of the elves. Protecting Evermeet is a treachurous sea, which turns away ships, and makes it extremely difficult to travel by ship. Magical barriers also prevent communication through the Sea of Swords, making it difficult to communicate between continents. Anchorome is a land of ancient beings, as a strange magical presense on the continent makes everyone age slower.
History:
During the Dawn Age, the war between Giants and Dragons extended to Anchorome. However even after the Dracorage Mythal, many dragons remained on the continent. The Avariel then arrived, and helped the Metallic dragons win the war against the Chromatics. However, the Avariel population was heavily diminished, and few remain in Anchorome. Once the chromatic dragons were defeated, dragons have largely vanished from Anchorome. It is a mystery where they could be found.
After the Second Sundering, Evermeet was created, but the elven populations were scattered. Many went to Evermeet, but others went to Anchorome where they built the kingdom of Aldarin. The rest of the races developed their civilizations on Faerun while the elves fought the Crown War. Humans arrived on Anchorome and began building their civilizations. Two more kingdoms emerged after some conflict, Endarlon and Galior. Since then, a shaky truce has emerged.
Spellplauge: Mainly affected the Elven civilizations. Was responsible for destroying a couple cities, but the elves mostly rebuilt the damage.
Second Sundering: Gods began gathering mortal worshippers, and religion spread across the human population in Anchorome. Galior and Endarlon fought in the War of Ice and Fire, and since then, Aldarin has expanded its borders, cutting in between the two kingdoms to prevent futher conflict. 
Faerun and Anchorome: 
Every so often, someone from Faerun comes to Anchorome, and faerunian gods are highly influential all over the continent. Anchorome is home to most of the faerunean races, many who came long ago after tumultuous historical events: 
Elves: Many elves came to Anchorome after various wars and conflics. Even more traveled from Evermeet to nuture the land that is now Aldarin, a primarily elven kingdom.
Avariel: Avariel left Faerun before the First Flowering, after almost being wiped out by dragons. In Anchorome, they continued this conflict, working side by side with the metallic dragons to rid the continent of the chromatics. An extremely small population of Avariel lives on Anchorome. Queen Skye herself is the queen of Aldrarin, and also an Avariel. After centuries of long life, many Avariel have left Anchorome with the winds, gone until they reach the plane of air.
Dragons: Many dragons, driven out of Faerun by the elves, traveled west to Anchorome. However, this continent became their last home for many of them. Chromatics were largely killed or driven out, and most of the metalics left or assimilated with the population. A large mystery in Anchorome is where the dragons have gone.
Humans: Arrived on ships after the elves, but didn't arrive on the shores of Aldarin, because that costline is too close to Evermeet. They instead arrived to Endarlon first, a much safer shore. 
Dwarves: Many have always been native to Anchorome, spending their time in the mountains. War is often irrelevant to their people. 
Races of the Underdark: The Underdark is a multi-continental cervernous system. All the races could emerge in Anchorome. 
Gnomes & Haflings: These are races not native to Anchorome. They arrived from Faerun.
Teiflings: Most infernal creaturs can be found in Endarlon, thus many infernal children are born there. Even so, Teiflings are a rare race to be found. 
Dragonborn: A scattered population, few dragonborn are found across Anchorome. However, there are pockets of dragonborn in a few places across the continent. 
More races from faerun not mentioned here are also present, but very rare.
