Lord Stenerenetene's Painted Windows

The paintings peer into the past and can weave out into the time web around the point he selected, time and space and occasionally people (the subject, usually, maybe a close relative) are able to carry the 'point' further but overall, they're very limited windows. They are useful only for cases of clear memory--one cannot use these to clarify a memory, to see again the truth of something they doubt, or otherwise would like to view again for the sake of developing certainty.

The paintings can see fate in a somewhat-reasonable measure around the point in time-space-lifetime, maxing out at about fifty years for a place, 'til death for a person (with requirements to see past one's own death, like a living blood relative, sibling or parent or child, also in the memory).
