Basic Information
Anatomy
Biped, two arms, opposable thumbs, no claws or useful adaptations in particular, but the adaptability of the individual is impressive. Generally pretty squishy. Still hard to actually kill.

8-10 mo gestation period, a single sex cell from two parents, blah blah blah we know this one.

Geographic Origin and Distribution
There is one (so far unnamed) continent upon which they aren't. That is the place they originated, and the halflings killed the ones they didn't chase into the seas.
Average Intelligence
This is generally above average when considering the rest of the animal kingdoms, and they have a capacity within range of the other bipeds.
Perception and Sensory Capabilities
No low-light vision, moderate hearing capacity (capacity to hear easily drops off at about fifty decibels)
Civilization and Culture
History
They sprung up as they were, not from clay exactly but the raw creation material of the universe. The God of Light, Asmodeus, Father of the Sun and Moon, had discovered the Fourth Wall, and started meddling with it.
He did not know exactly what he'd found, but the magic within it was wildly powerful, and he sought to harness it.
The waste he created when he was trying to purify the magic was cast off and dismissed. Asmodeus hardly noticed when it gained sentience and started multiplying. He tossed it onto the planet on an otherwise uninhabited landmass, and hoped no one would notice.
Cat and Dragon did indeed notice, but that's a different story.

Widely regarded as invasive in several places, these creatures have little difficulty surviving anywhere.
Average Height
5'10 (177 cm) but can range anywhere from 3'10 (116 cm) to 7' (213cm) without going to extremes.
Average Weight
150 lbs (68 kg), but the range is silly. Will include differences by region individually.
