Major Time Periods

Time travel shapes much of the greater narratives through out the Jak and Daxter series, so to help keep things clear, I'll reference the major time frames and explain them in a linear fashion - following the story of Mar and the Precursors (the overarching story the entire series is built on).

Pre-Elven Times (PET)

This time frame includes everything from the beginning of time leading up to the early history of the elves.

• (Name) The beginning of the Precursorian civilization
• The Precursorian Golden Age (PGA), the height of their technology and eco advancements leading up to the war with the Hora-Quan
• The Precursor Hora-Quan wars
• The Age of Dark Makers, as the wars raged, some precursors looked for answers in Dark Eco, leading to prolonged exposure and a mutation of their very DNA.

Elvish Antiquity (EA)

The first elvish settlements leading up to TPL's story line, ending with the official Metal Head invasion of this planet.

• Early Antiquity (EEA), Elvish and lurker settlements begin to form
• Middle Antiquity (MEA), specific cultures and trade systems have appeared
• Late Antiquity (LEA), the time period of the Precursor Legacy.

The Time of Mar (TTM)

This sees the beginnings of the Metal Head invasion, Mar's interactions with the Elves, and his founding of Haven City, the monk settlements in the Wastelands, the reign of the Mar family, the Birth of Mar, and the eventual coup lead by Baron Praxis against King Damas of Haven City, leading to the founding of Spargus.

The Present Time (TPT)

The period of time where Jak II and 3 take place.

The Future (TF)

The events after Jak 3, Jak becoming Mar, going back in time with the Precursors, but of course, the elven race continues "Forward"...

Notes:

What planet are precursors "from?" Are they native to this one and ventured into space later? Or did they later colonize this planet? If so, when?

Where did elves come from? Lurkers? What about sages?

When did the monks settle in the Wasteland?

When was Kras city founded? - are we counting Jak X as cannon? Or is it just a spin off...
