Monkeying around 8.5.2023

General Summary

The party bribe the guard on the deck of the Ship "Antelope" to see the master, even though the chief tribesman says its not wise to disturb The Master - a Balgura demon 
The Tribesman after being bribed by Herasger , for a grand 5gp, takes the party down to the lowest deck, where the Master is sitting with 2 giant apes, various tribesman and a number of very large apes
The party say high, then realise their predicament, and Twitch throws a potion creating a cloud to cover there quick exit straight back up the stairs
Exiting the ship with the Acolyte of Ra, the party head back to the Tower and the Lord Argy, who after initially dismissing the party's reports on demonic monkeys, waits on the bishops updates who turning up with Yumi validates the storey.
The party then given a force of 43 guards, Bishop Angelo of Linhir  and the 2 acolytes head towards the docks where they can now see ships burning.
They fight and slay quickly what seems to be a very tired and disorganised bunch of giant apes (given the DMs rolls), must have been still sleepy and dozey, with Ciro Freya Alexandrin going full on Barbarian, and dealing 70hp damage in 1 turn... before the party take out both Giant Apes, apes and tribal guards.
Returning to the tower the party find the Tower gates closed and talk with the Lord, but pick up all is not well with the Lord, and identify he has in deed been been supplanted by the Balgura - The Master. Playing along they head back to the Abbey working on the basis that they are going to find out more and report back to "The Lord Argy alias The Balgura"
Going to the Temple of Ra with the bishop, where they got to pick up some healing potions, Twitchs ears pick up the talk between the 2 guards the Balgura sent with them, realising one was going to run off and report, and the other was going to assassinate the Bishop, the party slay the first then, knock the 2nd unconscious.
The party then prepare there raid on the tower....
