Moloch part 19, feeding the paladin to the werebears

Milo grins, and without warning charges down at the captain, 3 foot and 80lb of solid hobbit muscle - almost an intimidating site, but enough to make the captain step back and loose his footing on the stairs as Milo ploughs into him knocking him onto the wall of thorns, and getting him stuck on the huge thorns. The captain screams but tries not to move as he lays impaled on thorns stuck a crossbow his body. Milo looks down in satisfaction, what a move he thinks, I must be invincible, nothing can stop me today, and feels truly inspired..
The party then thwarted by there own wall of thorns discuss burning it down. Jazzjar amazed at this stupidity, proceeds to stamp his feet,  highlighting he put it their, and that HE can take the wall down at ant time, not anyone else, not the scum  below, and that it is there for there protection.
They then search the bodies, finding purses filled with gold, and tattoos f the werebbear on the vfnir mercanaies arms.  The party then have a cunning plan and  prepare to burn the werebears from above, with the hot oil prepared for them, turning the fortunes about. Zinzir also being creative pulls up the floor boards, while the others collect the barrels.
A114 casts an ice storm killing the last of the vfnir mercenaries,,leaving only the 4 werebears and that nasty little assasin
Afkaria strikes gold finding the chest of gold hidden in 1 corner along with the letter from Sarn Durgba hiring the werebear clan from Vfnir to kill Kane, Monk brother of Yinwraek .... the plot thickens.....
An occasional exchange of crossbow shots occurs, but just as the group prepare to set fire to the oil they have passed through the werebears and assasin hack there way through the wall of thorns, screaming as huge thorns rip through there hides, leaving cuts and blood all over them.
Meanwhile
The party then decide to winch Afkaria down, deciding to use him as a worm at the end of a fishing line maybe to hook one, or just plain throw there friend away as breakfast for the Hungary monsters.
Afkaria gets true inspiration for this suicidal tactic of trying to take 4 enormous werebears and a sneaky assasin by himself, leapng from the bucket straight into action, before the assasin puts him down with a poisoned bolt square in the chest. Afkarua sank down into unconsciousness as the faces of 3 huge ugly werebears lear over his form.
A114, Jazzjar, Arranis and Zinzir rain magical fire down but do this does some damage it seems only to make the huge axe wielding werebears get madder
Milo then runs into save Afkaria calling for the wall of thorns to be dropped he jumps through the fire burning at ghe towers entrance and gets super inspired, but is knocked down, taking the fight on his lonesome, 3 foot and 80lb of lean and wiry hobbit vs 4 1000lb strapping werebears and that sneaky funking assasin, who raises that crossbow, and thunk - a crossbow bolt in the chest and he slips down into unconscious thinking of the revenge he will extract on that slimes fucker...
Milo is stuffed into a sack and taken by a werebear as the party on the roof watch hopelessly on, and proceeds to run off with the sneaky bastard assasin
Afkaria magically healed from Zinzir, feeling very woozy stands up to find knly 1 werebear in front of him and proceeds to knock this huge beast about, while hus so called friends help from the safety of the top of the tower, raining down fireballs, spheres of fire and ice on the bests below which just helps to make them madder
Arranis not quite with it today having struck with his fire bolts looks on as he wonders how the party have got it so wrong and starts to hatch a plan to save his hot-headed friends
