Hallelujah - they see the Light - 23/10/2023

General Summary

The party boldy enter the Temple of Justice (ex Temple of Ra and ex Temple of Set - something that shocks the party, but is not surprising - lots of ancient history)
Pasquale Heartshard, Ben Dars and Herasger posing as Knights of Justice escort Yumi, Aunt May and Ciro into the temple, with Twitch sneaking along behind, almost invisible (rolled 31)
Sweet talking there way past the front entrance guards, as they go past these to the guards in the entrance to the vestury, before sweet talking these with lots of curses about crusifying the victims. The party are let in and meet the 2 guards at the top of the stairs... and again sweet talk there way past these with a well learned and practicised patter... The party have picked up that there are magical "symbols" on the stairs - 3 of them, pain, death and 1 other, which the party are told to say "oh my God" as they pass each one, before they pass over 3 bottomless pits. Thee lead deeper down into the old world.
The 3 priests including Bishop Angelo of Linhir are the end of the hall guarded by a Celestial - an Angel - Davros the Archangel of Justice in the area covered by an Anti magic field
The party then sweet talk their way to the Arch Bishop, release the 3 captives with Twitch and Pasquale picking their locks, but are straight away attacked by the Paladins, and Davros imprisons them behind a wall of Blades, which splits the party with Twitch and Yumi stuck on the other side with Heragar - Yumi the warlock being targetted by Davros and the paladins - who put him down twice, and was then brought back up by Ben Dars.
The others slowly hacked there way through one paladin, while Herasgar trades blows with another paladin. Twitch takes a couple of shots while sneaking around the room.
Yumi in one of his points of consciousness actually manages to get up anbd cast dispel magic on the wall of blades, getting the party free of this area. He also feels in his serpent ring providing power and allows him to summon 3 unusally large snakes
Ben Dars - a priest of Ra can also feel the power of Ra running through him in his own temple..
Davros moves outside the chamber, casts wall of Blades, blocking them in again and trapping them....
