A time of reflection - Maria the Medusa 20/11/2023

General Summary

The party meet Lady Mirian Priestess of Set, name of Sssshimmer and discover her to be a princess and priestess of Set, who has slept for 30,000 years. The party do not enter her quarters, keeping clear
Twitch recoils and hides round the corner, but the party negotiate to follow her out of this location, as she leads them back to the stairs that would take them back to the temple of Rar
As the party travel back, they go past the servants quarters, and the party see Mirian take an expression of anguish on her face as she sees her slaves have been roasted alive (by ther party she guesses) - the snakes they killed last week (the servants had been turned by the anrgy High priestess into snakes as the daughter guesses)
Then as they arrive at the exit to go upwards, they walk past her old cook and guard who had been turned to stone - (why the party can only guess). The party then explain they cannot go up, as the exit has been compromised - with the priests of Justice having taken over the new temple of Ra built over this temple to Se.
Sccchimer (Mirian) thinks, and then says they will have to ask assistance from her mother.
Sssshimer leads them into the throne room, and says "Mother - I have brought you a great gift"
Then from the side the party then take fire - its an ambush - from Maria the Medusa with an arrow hitting Yumi
The party engage and the fight takes an interesting turn as Schhimmer keeps spliting into images being hit causing her to split into mirror images, as she trys to hold the party.
Mirian is taken down by Ciro and Pasquale, with assistance from the others
Meanwhile Maria drops into the middle of the party, and turms both Twitch and Yumi to stone
Pasquale Heartshard and Bishop Angelo of Linhir keep there distance, though Pasqualke casts heat metal causing Maria to drop her great sword. Bishop Angelo unleashing a fire ball that kills her summoned snakes but
Ben Dar is also turned to stone, and with 3 down, and 2 keeping there distance the parties position is looking precarious
Aunt May and Ciro plow into the fight and take down Maria
Bishop Angelo casts Greater restoration to save his colleagues after a long rest...
The party then discover the tressure trove..
Gems in the snakes eyes, items on Miriam and Maria, before finding the secret doors (trapps disarmed by Twitch)
The party find piles of bronze, silver and Gold coins worth around 30,000, but also find

• Great Sword of venom +1, but does poison damage 3d6, fail by more than 5 will knock the victim unconscious
• Circlet of Set - summon and control snakes up to 100hp
• Great Bow +1 with +1 arrows of venom - 20 arrows each does extra 3d8 poison damage
• Old pair of Misty Steppers - Boots hold 1d4+2 charges - 3 charges allows 30 foot movement, and extra charge to move additional 10 feet. Also 2 charges can be used as a reaction if any person casts misty step, you can follow them.
• Potion of Bloodlust - gives profieciency in "Intimidation" for 1 minute, and gain 2d4 HP back when next attacked
• Potion of Haste
• Medusa's Head - When a creature that can see the greater medusa’s eyes starts its turn within 30 ft. of the medusa, the medusa can force it to make a DC 17 Constitution saving throw if the medusa isn’t incapacitated and can see the creature. If the saving throw fails by 5 or more, the creature is instantly petrified. Otherwise, a creature that fails the save begins to turn to stone and is restrained. The restrained creature must repeat the saving throw at the end of its next turn, becoming petrified on a failure or ending the effect on a success. The petrification lasts until the creature is freed by the greater restoration spell or other magic.
• Ring of mirror image - allows the wearer, to have 2 additional images

A tunnel wanders off, while a secret entrance goes to the back of Mirians bedroom.
