6/11/2023 A bad breakup

General Summary

Herasger is captured by the priests of Justice, and the party realise they cannot get him back. They slowly collect themselves and escape down the tunnels through this ancient and eery temple of Set under the temple of Ra in Linhir with Bishop Angelo of Linhir trying to lead.
The rescue seems to have gone awry, with the 2 priests killed, arch Bishop Angelo still trapped with the party and Herasgar captured - not quite the success hoped for..
Herasger tied up and beaten, barely alive (down to a heal by Ben Dars), is man handled off by the Knights of Justice.
The party find there way into the temple of Set, and as they skip around the tunnels walk into a huge hall, a temple to Set, find an unsettling image, the green scales in copper of a snake creep accross the floor, leading to an alter with a huge edifice of Set the snake god carved into it, with his huge head rising up, mouth open - white fangs protruding and huge lumionous red eyes made of large rubbies
When they arrive at an alter of Set, Yumi falls under his spell, and allows an image of Set to move through his statuesce image and try to consume the party. Yumi follows his masters bidding and almost kills Angelo, Aunt May and with a fire ball
Pasquale Heartshard and Ben Dar both save from the effects of the hypnotoic trance from Set, and the party kills his image
The party on killing this image then investigate the area, and find an escape through the mouth of the snake statu, but Pasquale and Twitch stop to grab the enchanted ruby eyes of Sets statue...and Twitch being unsettled, looses his mind, believes Ben Dars is under Sets control, attacks him, before bering knocked unconsciuous by the party.
Moving through the mouth into a new chamber, dark and wet, the party rest and recover, before further investigating and morning the loss of Herasger. They find a statue to the elder god of the Kuo Toa, but investigating this statue, the party note it could move but do not find any opening underneath...
And the party still have an urgent need to deliver the Mother Pearl , and avoid there many enemies
