25/9/2023 - More Drow, escape

General Summary

The party engage in a fighting retreat while pressed by the Drow.   The 2 horned devils hurl fire at the retreating party whole keeping at a distance. The party initially run then retreat, shooting and fighting as they move back into the tunnel, having taught the Drow to respect them with their huge damage output, having taken down all the giant spiders and 7 drow last session.
The Devils hurl fire very succesfully, while keeping at a distant, slowly weakening the party members.
Ben Dar discovers he is a slow coach and desperatly sprints, occasionally shooting his cross bow and mssing very consistantly.
Herasger and Ciro Freya Alexandrin almost go down as the 2 dryders, and the 2 Horned devils attack and hurl fire trying to isolate these 2 at the back, as they chase to catch the party who they realise is making a run for it.
Haresgar and then Ciro sucumb to Hold person spells as they try to retreat, and take lots of damage from the Devils, with the Devils and Dryders cutting them off.  Twitch finally takes down one if the horned Devils with a well placed shot.
Herasger is targeted twice by 7 dark elves twice for hand cross bow attacks who hit only twice in the 14 shots.
Herasgar knocks down the same Drow warrior, who bravely trys to cut off Ciro, twice with his shield bash, leaving that drow in an unenviable position.  The Drow is tortured later for his terrible failures by his mistress, for not dying in the process, and is later cast out of his house, for him to wander the underdark plotting his future revenge on Herasger whose name he clearly heard.
A drow female cleric comes up at last and casts Insect swarm, as they realise Yumi is casting a teleport circle for the party to escape through, the party surviving the 10 turns it has taken to get to him  almost takes the spell out, but Yumi uses Herasger inspiration to save and complete the spell and get out
Ciro (down to under 20 at 1 point - and back down and Hersager (down to 4 at 1 point)
Ben Dars did copious healing
The party realise they are being tracked (by the Mother Pearl) which they all want and ambushed, by the baddies
The party are now in the temple of Ra at Linhir, closing tbe teleport circle behind them
