Tāngata o te moana
The Tāngata o te moana, or people of the sea in common, are a loose confederation of tribes living on the islands in the western sea. They have a deep culture connection to the ocean and all inhabitants, including the Zaratans, giant turtles the size of islands. The most prominent and powerful druids of these tribes are able to form powerful bonds with these creatures and use them as mobile homes for their clan. Those that do treat the great beast as a god and offer it sacrifices of fish, berries, and in rare cases people.
