Overview:
Tarnis embodies the still waters that run deep, governing solemn pacts and the flow of time. He oversees both the rivers that nourish the land and the contracts that bind people together. Among the genasi, he is invoked at births, marriages, and the signing of accords, his name called upon when permanence is desired.​

Worship:
Temples to Tarnis are often found beside rivers, marked with water wheels carved with spiraling script. Priests, known as Flowkeepers, wear robes dyed with river clay. Oaths sworn in his presence are recorded on water-inscribed tablets that dissolve if broken.​

Perspective on the Primes:
Tarnis views the Prime Gods as short-sighted, valuing order but neglecting the sacredness of agreements made before thrones existed. He neither forgives nor forgets the chains placed upon the Idols.
