The Church of the Slumbering Goddesses

The Church of the Slumbering Goddesses is the primary religion of Ammesos. Practiced around the world, members of the Church revere the three Goddesses, Celestia, Umbra, and Mythra, who protect the world of Ammesos.
The Church is spit into three primary factions, each who revere all three Goddesses but focus their faith more on one: The Order of the Radiant Light, the Order of the Earthen Embrace, and the Order of the Umbral Night.

The Order of the Radiant Light

Focused on the worship of Celestia, the Goddess of the Sun, worshipers are focused in the solar hemisphere.
Colors: Gold and Red

Order of the Umbral Night

Focused on worship of Umbra, the Goddess of the Moon, worshipers are focused in the Lunar hemisphere.

Colors: Silver and Purple
Symbol: A crescent moon with a star centered in the middle
Suggested Domains: Moon, Night, Darkness, Magic, Arcana, Dreams, Trickery

The Order of the Earthen Embrace

Focused on the worship of Mythra, the Goddess of the Earth, worshippers are focused throughout both hemispheres.
Colors: Bronze and Green
Symbol: A flower against a mountain
Suggested Domains: Earth, Plants, Life, Nature, Animals, Growth

Player Characters as members of the Church

Most PC's will likely favor one goddess over the others (though all three are worshiped). Typically religion will be based more on original geography (e.g. a town may have a church dedicated to primarily one goddess). PC's whose hometown is Bellwater Hollow will likely be focused on whatever religion is dominant there.
A divine caster, champion, or other type of PC that wishes to be a member of the clergy will ultimately determine which of the three Orders is largest in Bellwater Hollow, based on their individual choice. That will also determine to what Order the church is dedicated to, and what aether the crystal is most attuned to.

An Oracle who is a member of the church has access to the Crystal Mystery.

Public Agenda

The primary goals of the Church are to provide faith and support to the people of Ammesos. They maintain places of worship for the Goddesses as well as support charitable causes. In addition they are focused on spreading their faith and rooting out sacrilegious cults or worshippers of Cthona.
Other than the services traditionally provided for by a church or house of worship, the Church are the divine caretakers of the Crystals of Life. While all are allowed to view and worship crystals, only members of the Church of sufficient rank are able to care for the Crystals, for despite their life giving energies, they can be deadly when handled without extreme care.
While the Crystals reside in towns and cities, the Church retains ownership of all Crystals, not the town or city that the Crystal resides in, and thus, should a town fall, be destroyed, or a crystal need to be moved for any reason, the Church (often along with the Magistrate) is in charge of determining where the crystal will be  moved to.
