Shone Baret

The Shone Baret survives ages. No other organization in all of Amerielle has persisted as long. The rumour is that not even the oldest elves or dragons remember a time when the Shone Baret was not a force in this world. Living and dying with the age, it always seems to rise new and powerful.
In the current age, the Shone Baret serve The Empire as guards and as the police force. They carry much of the same traditions they would have when they served The Republic.
They act as the military arm of the Empire, but cannot be commanded by Emperor. Instead the organization has a council of twelve who hears the emperor's requests and determines if they will provide their services. The council is made up of former generals and hand-selected members of the council. The council is selected by hand, only unanimously voted individuals can be added to the council when one is removed, retires, or most likely assassinated.
Currently, the Shone Baret walks the line between military organization and religious sect. After religious text to a previously unknown god, Selvan, were discovered in a secret room of the Shone Baret Tower the entire group, nearly 10,000 individuals were forced to swear allegiance to Selvan. Those who did not were cast out and became the Maquebas - a group of purist who believe that Selvan is part of plot to undermine the true goal of the Shone Baret, justice, honor, and protection.
Each of the groups within the Shone Baret are unique and vary from being genteel groups of protects, to zealous religious cretins, to violent thugs.
The Shone Baret has five elite groups that they use to organize and direct their troops. They're regional in many regards and differ by wild degrees.

• Wolf - Covering the northern section of the kingdom
• Thorn - Covers the area surrounding and including the Knightfall Forest (Green)
• Kraken - Patrols the coast and the sea.
• Python - Covers the Kichwa areas
• Scorpion Battalion - Cover the Kallowa desert
• Bull - Who you would see through most of the interiors.

No group covers the Uhl-Kante Planes
