Ixion

Ixion is the father of Justice in Amerielle. He is the son of Novos, the creator God, and he holds court over the gods as well as the humanoids. He has an unwavering belief in righteousness and fairness. The world he sees has little gray and is quite black and white. This often leads him and those who follow him to be seen as indifferent to the nuance of reality. He does, however, have a special eye for the poor and the sick. Many of his followers devote themselves to resolving injustice in the world, providing healing to those without means, and sustenance to those who struggle.
He has a special retinue of holy soldiers known as the Scales of Ixion. They operate as his physical extension in the realms of humanoids. This group of Paladins and Clerics of Life are chosen as judges and protectors of the people. Their word is seen as the direct word of Ixion and cannot be contested. Their word is final. Which can lead to some interesting results if people don't love the newly declared word of Ixion.
Ixion is by far the most common god in Amerielle and is seen as the official god of the Empire, although that has wavered of late with the rise of Emperor Endyd II. 
Ixion most often chooses to appear as a centaur with a thick gray, braided beard. His flesh appears to be rough-hewn onyx that glimmers with diamond dust. He always carries his massive bow, Justice Bringer, a weapon which strikes true when aimed at an evil heart.

Holidays

The first day of Telakoha, The Days of Contest belongs to Ixion. The Holiday is a week of competitions between towns and individuals for various prizes and pride. The week was originally started as a competition between Ixion and Bahamut whos rivalry has persisted since the birth of Bahamut.

Personal history

Ixion was born to Novos during the Age of the Gods. He rose as a champion of lawfulness and quickly formed a relationship with the demi-god, Mestani. Unknown to him, Mestani made a deal with Vogon, The Warbringer to be able to shift her form and increase her power. The price of her new lycanthropy was the murder of Ixion. On their wedding night, she drove a spear through his heart and captured his essence in a Viix Crystal where he was bound for a thousand years until rescued by Uluru.
The night haunts Ixion as the couple consummated their marriage and while all lycanthropes are the children of Mestani, they are his offspring as well.

Accomplishments & Achievements

Ixion once gave up his godhood, became a man, and travelled through The Nine Hells. There he stole one of Asmodeus's greatest treasures, a bow that could corrupt the hearts of any it struck. Ixion took this weapon for himself and infused it with the essence of justice turning the weapon from its evil nature and to that of law. This weapon strikes true any evil creature. Armed with this new weapon, The Justice Brininger, Ixion escaped The Hells and rose to godhood once again.
