2022-01-12 - Mead Must Flow Report
General Summary
Icewyn Dale has become a difficult and challenging place. The wind and cold numbed faces and our heroes trudged their way to the small town of Good Mead to meet with Hlin Trollbane a retired bounty hunter. This felt like a chance to do good, to fight back against Auril's Endless Night.
Once they arrived at town they were immeditaely reminded of the state. Bells rang out and Frostservants came to read their dreadful poem and oversee the sacrifices. Auril or not, they were a blight on
With the reading of the peom the complete they head inside to the Meadhall. Here everyone in Good Mead appears to be gathered to keep the bees warm. They were served mead and started asking questions aobut why people would follow the frostservants. This didn't go over well.
They learned that Hlin was in the temple to Legion, the god of war. Entering the temple they found Hlin and learned that the Good Mead speaker Kendrick Rielsbarrow had been murdered. Stabbed in the chest by a large spear. A giant of some kind had found him while he was hiding mead. She asked them to return the mead and kill the creature.
On the way out of town they find the milita who had been sent out ahead. They had been torn apart. After some sloppy detectivework they determined it had been done by a yeti.
They tracked the giant to his lair and as they were plotting Vega saw movement and a yeti who had been laying in wait sprung his attack slashing Vega. He held onto life by a moment the party sprung into action and Adrial flamed it as it turned to run, Vega and Hringol chopped it down.
With the yeti killed they began to search out the lair by sending in Adrial's familiar a hare. Inside they were able to find the location of the mead as well as the giant. The party decided to wait until the giant and bear had settled into sleep. As they were about to finish a cask of mead and some roast dwarf the bear caught wind of the rabbit and began to make chase.
Our adventure ended as the rabbit came flying out of the enterance to the cave.
