Tanis Greenwater
Born in the year 1948 to a quaint New England family in Bar Harbor, Maine to a family with quaint goals. His father Edwryd Greenwater, his father served in the federal government from 1901-1912 in Theodore Roosevelt’s administration for the United States Forestry Service, and helped establish the earlier national parks like Yosemite and Acadia National Parks. He held a great respect of nature and wished to see it protected by the American peoples. With a knack for Natural knowledge, he met a thrifty young woman in 1904 known as Katherine Terrell. Katherine helped work as a secretary within the Forestry Service. The two fell in love, despite Edwyrd felt concerned about this relationship, given his nearly unnatural life compared to his partner. They still pressed forward and in the year of 1947, they had three children in the form of Pierre, Tanis, and Rosewater. Tanis grew up in the quiet town of Bar Harbor and learned much from his wise Father. With a passion for pursuing knowledge, he took to devouring books with a voracious appetite. He rose through school and achieved high marks, and possessed a knack for magic, a magic that was expounded upon by a local Dwarven wizard Donald Coppertoes. Coppertoes helped Tanis in receiving a proper, initial introduction to magic, however, Tanis halted the pursuit of magic to chase the opportunity to go to college, until he was approached by several men in dark suits and sunglasses.
The men approached him and informed the young half-elf that he possessed quite the intellectual and could provide quite a lot of aid to the Federal government, and to take part in something greater than the two of them. He joined, while feeling under pressure from these uniformed men. In a few years, the young man now works in what he thought was a boring desk job. For hours on end, he toiled in the office, filling out paperwork here, and requisition forms there, until finally, a sleepless night had him convinced that the large statue of Huey Pierce Long spoke to him, and informed him that Tanis held great potential, and he should be using his powers for greater needs. What further pushed his decision to take an extended vacation was an event that occured only a week before he received a mysterious package at his door, upon the death of his father in late 1970...
Now is the year of 1971, and the young half-elf has got some vacationing to do.
