The Hylean Region

The largest and least-traversed region of Amarynth, The Hylean Region is considered a home to the spiritual and magical on the sub-continent.

Geography

The Hyelan Region houses the Hylean Mountains and the massive Hylean Forest, as well as the mysterious Great Plateau and the Hylean Sea. It is a diverse region, though most of it is covered in the density of the forest.

Fauna & Flora

The main roads and towns are the safest places in this region, and everywhere else is considered wild territory. Although it is well populated, Hylea's sheer amount of wildlife and monsters keeps that population from dispersing too greatly.
Many standard forest creatures roam the woods, but the true legend of Hylea is that of the Green Dragon said to patrol the darker corners of the thicket, and- if the legends are true- busies itself fighting for territory with a White Dragon high in the Hylean Mountains.
Such a dragon hasn't been seen in recent years, but history books do tell of it's existence in the Southern areas of the forest.
