The Hylean Mountains

Geography

A massive range of snow-capped peaks that divide the Amarynth region in two, and separate the Hylean Region of the Northern Hook. The highest peak reaches a soaring height of nearly twenty-six thousand feet, while the lowest reaches about seven-hundred feet. An extremely narrow Mountain Pass carves through just above the center, allowing safe passage for brief periods during the summer when the snow recedes.

Fauna & Flora

Many animals of can only be found on or near the Hylean Mountains- the Hylean Yak, Marmot, Pheasant, and Thar are entirely unique in this part of the world, and Red Pandas, Musk Deer, Black Bears, and Snow Leopards are unique in Amarynth to these mountains.

Natural Resources

The Hylean Mountains are said to be the only source of a rare magic crystal, hidden away in deep caves that reach into the Underdark.
