Rules for character creation
As discussed, we will be creating level 17 characters.
The stat spread allocated is the following:
21-19-17-17-16-10
If you're creating a caster, take particular attention to the Magic page.
Considering you're level 17, the wealth you have may have amassed is such that mundane items are of no limits to you.
I will not track common item use such as rations, arrows, traveling packs of all sorts, mundane mounts or vehicles (land/sea) of any kind.
I expect your characters to be in possession of wealth such that this makes no difference.
In regards to magical items.
Once you have made your choice I will look over all the items chosen.
As we're talking about a hiiigh level campaign, I reserve the right to say that a particular magic item does not exist in the universe if I feel like it would be problematic.
I'll do my best to accommodate most, but I will not bend myself into knots if it just doesn't work.
Use the 2024 list as a base, preferably but 2014 is fine too as long as it hasn't been updated to 2024.
For expediency's sake, lets keep the amount of consumables you can carry on your person actively to 10.
You can have more in subspaces and backpacks etc. but I will assume a limit of 10 per combat.
Carry weight will also be taken into consideration at all times.
Keep attunement slot limits in mind, but here is the rundown of available choices:
- You would have been able to amass any number of common magic items during your life's journey.
- A total of 21 uncommon items per player
- A total of 14 rare items per player
- A total of 7 very rare items per player (No stat boosting tomes and manuals allowed. C'mon guys, stats are high enough :D )
- A total of 2 legendary items per player (No deck of many things. Sorry, I know, party pooper, but I have enough to deal with!)
- 1 artifact from the 2024 list will be available to the party.
You all need to agree on which.
This is also how you all will know each other.
You worked together during a previous grand adventure that ended 6 years ago when you recovered said artifact. (this was your level 12 to 16 adventure)
After this adventure, you all returned home as legendary heroes.
Now the world calls upon the heroes of Amarynth once more.

Backstory:
I would ask you all to go through the History of Amaranth pages to figure out the basic setting and history any of you would know.
This very religious (Religion, Faith and Agnosticism) world is intricately linked to its Pantheon so use that as inspiration.
If you want to work out your character's relation to a particular god out, let me know, we'll go through the setting together.
The earliest any of your characters would have been born is 32 ATF, during The Third Era: The Reconciliation .
Currently we're in The Fourth Era: The Age of Growth .
All Races are present within Amarynth. Check the article for inspiration.
I would like to have included within your backstory at minimum:
Explanation (can be story wise or factual) behind you acquiring your two legendary items.
Your best friends (non-party members).
Your biggest rivals (non-party members).
What you did in between the time of your last adventure 6 years ago and now.
Any living family members or loved ones.
1 event that cemented your fame with your allies (before the adventure you had with the party).
1 different event that cemented your infamy with your rivals (before the adventure you had with the party).
Optionally, if you feel inspired I like to know:
How you came to become such powerful person. Special training, experiments or divine intervention are a few examples.
The realm of level 12 and above puts you apart from the common folk who would only dream of reaching such heights.
If any of your characters have been working for longer that your last adventure together (childhood friends for example) then I'd like to know this as well.
Most of you know I love backstories and I would love to be able to integrate plenty of personal details into the world that pertains to your characters.
The more you give me the more personal I can make the campaign and involve the characters more deeply.
