Amaranthis

Welcome to Amaranthis, the Land of Magic. In Amaranthis, magic is written into every person, place and thing. It permeates all, and is a part of daily living. Just as the modern would would be hard pressed to live without our various forms of technology, so to, are the citizens of Amaranthis tied to their magic. From the lowliest dock worker, to the ruling Kings and Queens, each person is born with an innate magic. Called "Sigils" these innate gifts give even the humblest person a form of control over magic. Imagine Dock workers lifting their loads with telekinesis spells, miners casting light to see in the depths of the earth, armies of soldiers together casting flame spells to combat their foes, or even a housewife casting a spell to add water to a stew.   But all of these things did not come about without tribulation. 200 years past, a war ravaged the country of Amaranthis, severing the entire land from the Source of all Magic, the Well of Souls. It took 100 years for the country to recover, but magic and life has returned to the once war torn Empire.
