Lokni found her feet underneath her as she was set down. She crouched down and caught her breath. Glancing up at Miaca she tried to smile, but found it hard.
“That was scary... thank you so much for saving me,” she gushed, and stood up, pressing her cheek against his. She was so close to death in that moment that she didn’t even know how to feel at the moment other then grateful.
“Why do you sound surprised that I saved you?” Miaca asked, sounding offended.
Lokni shrugged and looked away sheepishly, “Well, I don’t know, we have a complicated friendship,” she said and shrugged again. She looked away from the tom and saw a shadow approaching from the sky. A moment later Thulani landed beside then and looked over the two young cats with narrowed eyes.
“Why didn’t you get that eagle? That was a perfect opportunity missed, do you not want to feed our tribe or were you just to lazy to react?” Thulani snapped at Lokni, stood up taller and glared.
Lokni stared back at her mother wordlessly. How was she supposed to respond to that? She stayed silent for a moment, then got her bearings back.
“You didn’t even warn me that the eagle was flying toward me or that you wanted my help!” Lokni defended herself and stared Thulani down through silted eyes.
“A good hunter doesn’t need to be warned, they watch and listen at all times!” Thulani barked back and lashed her tail back and fourth
“Well a good tribe-mate doesn’t stay silent then almost kill their daughter!” Lokni snarled and took a step toward her mother.
“You wouldn’t know how to be a good tribe-mate, your useless!” Thulani laughed, “You must get that from your father.”
Lokni stood speechless and took a step back and studied Thulani. She had a wild look in her eye filled with hate and disgust. How could her own mother think such things of her and treat her so terribly? It was sick.
Miaca pinned his ears back and stepped forward, “Lokni isn’t useless, but obviously you are if your going to treat her like that,” he growled and swatted at her face, claws unsheathed. His paw made contact with her cheek and she jumped back with a yowl, blood staring to pool where he scratched her.
She gave him a look, with something like fear or disbelief in her eyes. “Jandreau is going to hear about this omega,” she hissed and flew off.
Funani landed behind them as Thulani took off, she set down a hawk that she had caught and looked between them, “What happened?” She asked cautiously.
Miaca shot her a cold look and walked away a few steps, “Nothing happened. You can go catch up with Thulani, we’ll continue hunting,” he ordered her.
Lokni watched as Funani left too and sat down gently, her shoulders slumping as she did so. “Thanks for defending me. But, you know thats going to get you in trouble right?” She looked up at the tabby tom and shook her head.
“So all I know about my father is that he’s apparently useless and from another tribe. That could be a lot of cats...” she joked sadly.
“Hey, he’s probably not useless, cause I know you aren’t and thats what she said about you... so actually that leaves you with one thing you know about him,” Miaca meowed, trying half to jest and half to be serious.

General Physical Condition

Body Features
Lokni has a stubbed tail, a thick short coat of fur and black dapples on her face. She has thick, yet sleek fur and a tall athletic body like an Amanzi cat. Her wings have a combination of both feathers and scales, showing off her half-tribe status clearly.
Facial Features
Her rounded muzzle and soft, pretty eyes compliment her face nicely and give her a beautiful, yet fierce look. Her ears are an average size, and have no tufts on the end, her cheeks are not fluffy, they are smooth and rounded.
Identifying Characteristics
Her half-tribe wings, her stubby tail and her stark white coat are her identifying features.
Physical quirks
Her uncommon tail, which was a genetic flaw, and her wings which are uncommon and odd to see on a cat in the Tribes, because it is against the laws to have kits with a cat outside your own tribe.

She is faster then most cats at flying.

She is a very fast cat, and glides through the air like no cat in Umoya. She is known to be one of the best hunters in her tribe and her wings are very agile and slick.

Personal history
Lokni was born in Umoya to her mother Thulani. She has yet to know or meet her father Rain, all she knows is that she is half blood, and that her mother despises her for it. She grew up alongside her best friend Miaca. They trained together as apprentices and became Delta/Omega's together. When they were apprentices they were exploring their relationship with one another and they were almost dating for a little bit, but when Miaca confessed his love for her, she had to tell him what she had been slowly figuring out for awhile: that she didn't like him in that way, and that she liked she-cats and not toms. At that point their friendship ended, and they were no longer friends until about a year later. In the meantime, Lokni met Shasta. They became fast friends and together they met a group of cats at a gathering and formed bonds with Briny, Ripley, Dover, Isiqu and Amaryllis. Lokni grew closer to Isiqu, and is exploring her feelings for the she-cat, something she's never felt with any cat before.
