Winged Cats
A Amakiti Species of Cats
Basic Information
Anatomy
Winged cats are built like an ordinary cat, but bigger in size and they have wings. The wings a cat has depends on the Tribe they are from and their decedents. A cat from Amanzi has featherless-wings and scales. Their wings are very strong and agile, making them ideal for cutting through water to fish. The wings of a Izitshalo cat are rounded and smooth, they are also featherless and are well muscled for fighting off prey and using them as shields if they need to. Umoyan's wings are feathered and long, making them fast and keeping them warm in the crisp mountain air. Lastly, the wings of a Shisa cat are very bat-like in style, but are thick and strong, so when moving through the sharp edged caves, they cannot be torn or battered easily.
Genetics and Reproduction
A winged cat reproduce like a regular domesticated cat. They are pregnant for about 67-70 days and nurse their kits until they are 4 weeks old.
Growth Rate & Stages
When the kits are born they stay with their mother and nurse until they are about 4 weeks old, at that point they start eating fresh-kill and eventually completely wean off the mothers milk. When they are 6 moons old they become apprentices, and train and grow for about another year. At that point they either become a delta or a omega and are finished growing usually at 2. They live their lives as deltas or omegas, and then retire around the age of 15 to the elders den, where they live until they die.
Ecology and Habitats
- Umoyan cats live in the mountains. Its ideal for their thicker coats of fur and feathered wings.
- Amanzite cats live my the sea. Their sleek fur and wings make for them to be excellent swimmers.
- Izitshaloin cats live in the jungle. Their strong bodies and muscular wings make them the best candidates to live in the dense jungles.
- Shisan cats live in rocky areas and caves. The long legged and agile cats with bat-like wings thrive in that environment.
