The Royal Family

Within the colony, final authority and power lie with the Viceroy, Prince Wildeen, the current royal heir whose seat exists within the dome palace of Prince's Landing. The new viceroy of the colony, a replacement for his cousin who was captured and ransomed by the Seekers during the Roaming War, Prince Wildeen has made sought to make keeping good relations with the Seekers a top priority while strengthening the Northern and Western borders against probing raids.
It is difficult not to see the influence of the Empire within almost all aspects of life within the lower third. From the Censorate's ever-present Inspectors, the huge habitation projects, and even in the constant recruitment for the Empire's martial forces, the Elven Empire touches almost all aspects of life within the lower-third. This meddling is accepted and even welcomed by some, as the huge construction projects have done a lot to create infrastructure throughout the growing colonies. Others, see the centralized authority of the Empire as a guillotine waiting to fall on their heads and have taken themselves and their families to the more barren, northern lands to claim the free land there away from oversight; some even join huge caravans into the Badlands to the north. This internal movement has done much to push civilization into the uninhabited north, especially where life is desperate and hard within the Burn Plains.
