However, he’s nowhere to be found, and Duke Aquinas of the 4th quarter is ruling in his stead. His ruthless rule has led to Alsaice de Carmalle’s success in business and war, to the point where most western countries won’t engage in activities that could trigger conflict. The wealth of the country is a plaything to a man like the Marquis, and he’ll do anything to get what he wants. It was, then, perhaps fortunate that the Duke perished in the ritual chamber beneath the royal palace. Such a grisly affair.
