Session 6 - Midnight Brawl
General Summary
Awakened by a loud screeching noise in the middle of the night, the party heads out of the Willow Witch's shop to investigate. The party unsure as to the location of the sound begins searching around. They notice the lack of stars in the sky, and a distinct lack of sounds from the forest or nearby stream. Knocking on the door of The Willow Witch's Shoppe in hopes of speaking with the Willow Witch. A shadow feathered humanoid figure opens the door. In an attempt of showing peace Bearach offers a handshake to the creature. The creature tentatively reaches out and shakes his hand, Bearachs head is filled with a vision of standing in front of Hells Roaring Canyon, with the screams of his people filling his ears. Snapped back to reality, Bearach is able to retract his hand as the strange shadow creature begins cawing loudly. The party hears more cawing emanating from the trees around them as 11 more creatures step out from the shadows. Not knowing what the creatures want, the party readies to defend themselves as the creatures begin to rush towards, and the fight begins.
The shadows creatures are able to hold their own against the party, taking multiple hits before going down and dealing decent damage in return. Upon the killing blow for each of these creatures, the party notices the creatures explode with a squawk into a cloud of black raven feathers. Upon clearing the opening to the The Willow Witch's Shoppe Bearach enters, noticing that the interior is different then the evening before, between the different furniture, and the collections of creature parts and plants scattered about. Bearach sees a hooded figure in the back, cackling out loud. Meanwhile, Dyk' Dix decides to light the shed on fire after luring a bunch of the shadow creatures inside of it. The party manages to thin the numbers of the creatures down to one. The last remaining creatures begins squawking loudly as it's body begins to grow and change into the shape of a Massive 10ft tall chicken that looks exactly like Susie the Chicken, the chicken begins running around chaotically, clucking loudly, causing the party to awaken.
The party awakens, pain still shooting through their body from the fight, but with no physical markings from it. Noticing that they awoke inside the shed the party begins to look around out of curiosity and confusion. Ereketh notices a still sleeping Rolen and Susie the Chicken panicking in her cage.
