Session 1 - First Impressions
General Summary
Players woke up underground, handcuffed to standing pillars and locked in rusty cages. After watching some poor soul get thrown off a bridge by some cult members, the party quickly worked on escaping their confinement, making some noise in the process. The cultists return, only to find the party free of their shackles. A fight ensues resulting in the party killing the cult members with a combination of rocks, stolen weapons, and a rusty iron door. One fleeing cultist manages to cut the rope bridge across the large gap in the cavern. The party takes time to investigate their surroundings, finding a gelatinous cube with a floating skeleton inside it, they at first misinterpreted as a ghost. The party upon reaching the other side of the cavern manage to unlock the door with a key they gruesomely found. Entering through the doorway leads them to a storage room filled with armor, weapons, and arcane supplies. Searching around after gearing up, the party finds a food supply closet. They also find a room filled with cultists in mid ceremony, sacrificing a Halfing female, with a smoking obsidian dagger, and a large symbol of Cyric painted in blood on the back wall.
