Rad-al-Nedjay (rahd-ahl-needjay)
Migrated to the Eastern Desert during the settlement of Valaria. Comprised of 12 tribes which herd camels and goats in a migratory pattern from oasis to oasis. Resisted the Valarian expansion into the desert, but the hostile cimlate and the "Sand People" as the were called halted any progress. Valaria eventually established trade with the Nedjay, for the extrmely ahrd wood and silk that came from teh other side of the desert, in exchange for good steel and food goods produces in Valaria. This established the Nedjay as caravan masters and merchants.
The Nedjay wear loose linenes, colored to match the rocks and sandstone in their home, except in cases of merchants, who wear brightly colored robes with many gold rings, earrings, and necklaces.
Ride camels in place of horses for all occasions. Camel-mounted warriors use bows instead of lances. Also use curved chakram on foot and camel-back
Nedjay fight mostly on foot and have cultural aversion to using spears. Nedjay warriors will chop off the head of a spear and use it as a dagger before they will use a spear.
Nedjay bows are short and made of Jedda wood, which is flexible but hard as steel.
12 Tribes gather once per year at the Phoenix Peak, to renew trade deals, set prices, and cellbrate the rebirth of the Phoenixes that inhabit the mountain. Phoenix feathers are prized, but killing a Phoenix is forbidden.
Nedjay still trae with Lake Twon, and the Whitehall Dwarves but exterminate any Zana Patrols without mercy.
Nedjay are a tan-skinned, dark-haired poeple. They are a height of most Valarian peoples, and often have shorter beards, which are usually manicured meticulously.
