Still More Catacombs - Pleyed 06/25/2022 Report
General Summary
Rhys and Savane woke to find that Chloe and Octavia were gone, leaving behind a note to see Ann at the Hunters Guild.
Ann was very grim when she told them that Chloe and Octavia were needed elsewhere on the same problem but in a place that better used their skillset. She did tell them that a gnome wizard, Poppy, was coming to help them from Wanillo a local gnomish village and that she should be here in a couple of hours
While they were waiting for her to show up Vasta was teleported to Greycott at the Elven king’s request and Poppy showed up a little while later. After the introductions they headed out to continue their quest.
Our heroes safely passed the swinging blade trap and faced 2 mummies that came out of their coffins and told them to leave.
Of course they attacked and were doing well until Vasta moved to flank them and woke 2 others.
It was very difficult but the group prevailed only to waken the last 2 in the hallway. They killed one but the other “pleaded” (with dignity) to be spared as it was set to guard it’s master.
At this point, though Poppy was low on spells Savane was still good on healing so they continued onward. The group found a way down to the next level and continued on.
Someone from the enemy heard them and Rhys bluffed that he was a member of the group. He was doing well until he misspoke his facts and the goon caught it. The goon attacked Rhys and he call for the rest of the heroes, but the goon also called at the top of his lungs for help. They ended up fighting 2 fighters and the Incubus that they had encountered earlier (sadly he escaped again) and with that they needed a rest
.The group rested in the entryway again but in the morning they had to deal with another pudding (probably not the last) and it “ate” Rhys’ shoe. Poppy sent her familiar, Silver, to Bertrum with a note asking for another (single) shoe so one of the Bertrums complied by tying the shoe to the weasels back (eeew). But it arrived and just needed a clean spell.
