Appearance

Karina is depicted as a friendly, youthful Village female. Her statue is adorned with a simple staff, as well as a symbol of a tree surrounded by a wreath.

• Give freely and often, but do not neglect yourself.

Karinite Baptism

Baptism is not required in order to be a follower of any particular god. However, anyone who wishes to officially enter a faith community or become Devoted may partake in the baptism ritual of the diety they wish to follow. (NOTE: It is highly suggested to roleplay a baptism when gaining the Devotion ability from Way of the Faithful, but it is not required)
A Karinite baptism should be performed somewhere in nature, with the location being significant to the candidate or the faith. It is also encouraged to have as many Karinites in attendance as possible. These onlookers will form as large a circle as the can, holding branches between each of them side by side (to form a giant wreath).
The candidate will sit or kneel at one inner edge of the circle facing away from the center wearing a wreath crown. The sponsor and a supporter will stand behind the candidate to their left and right. (A supporter is a second kind of sponsor, they might not be devoted to Karina- but it is heavily preferred that they are)
The sponsor will say words about Karina and the faith, then recite the tenets. The candidate will repeat each tenet, turning to their left after the second tenet, then turning all the way around to recite the third, and then facing into the circle to repeat the final tenet after their sponsor. Upon reciting their final tenet, the candidate should place an offering of their choosing near the center of the circle- then return to their position. The sponsor will state their intention to make this offering to Karina for prosperity and compassion in all endeavors before this candidate.
As the circle breaks, the candidate leaves it as a karinite.
