Psionics use mental energy to reach out and affect nearby minds or material. They are often referred to as mesmers, mentalists, mentats or psions depending on the power. It is though that about 1 in 1,000 people are natural psions, and unlike magic it is does not usually run into families. The more skilled you are the more power you can release from the world around. Usiong psionics eventually warps or degrade the mind.
