The Swing of Rift

Also known as The Rift Swing, or simply as the Swing, is a magi-mechanical apparatus situated in the middle of the Dwarven city-state Wan Torum. It is used to travel the great magical gorge also knows as The Scar.
It looks like a huge magical platform which slowly swings to the other sides and is anchored to the sides of the gorge with durable metal wires for the boarding to provide more stability. Yet, it should not be anchored for too long, as it will -and can- tear itself free due to the magical momentum.

Utility

The Swing is one of the main transportation in the city of Wan Torum, a it ships people and cargo from the one side to the other. It was discovered because the people living in Wan Torum needed an alternative way to travel to the other side of the gorge than taking the long walking route either around or under, which could easily take weeks and even months.

Access & Availability

Unique and would probably only work in Wan Torum, due to the place's unique magical properties.

Complexity

The Swing is a complex, magically powered mechanical platform, which moves from one side of the rift to the other, apparently following the schedule of the First Moon. When it rises, the swing is on the other side of the gorge, and slowly travels to the other side during the evening and night.
