Alta 1366

Alta 1366 is a variant of Alta that takes place later in the timeline, in the year 1366 (as opposed to the original 822).   The year 1366 is a time which is far removed from the primitive age of 822. Most of the world has been tamed by Man, the world's nation's are unitary monarchies and republics that conduct their business on a global scale, and wage wars with regimented armies full of men in dapper, colorful uniforms and armed with muzzle loading rifles.   Technology has advanced to the point that steam power drives powerful industries and commerce. Men in expensive suits buy out their competition and expand their assets, employing thousands upon thousands of overworked and underpaid workers to drive forth the winds of change.   Alta 1366 will, like all other Alta variants, be mostly based on reality, but will also of course be a fantasy world, and will also draw from certain other themes. Expect a mostly realistic, but also slightly fantastical mildly (and I mean *mildly*) steampunkish Victorian world.   If you are confused about anything, checking out Alta 822 might provide some answers.
