Talula Notin
Talula Notin-Merchant of the North. Born in 1343 into the wankata, the upper class, with two wealthy parents. Talula Notin was already destined for greatness. Her name Talula stands for flowing water and an endless stream of luck. Her last name Notin being wind. The Notin Family are a class of merchants with great power in Las Islos.
Backstory
Growing up, Talula quickly grasped what she had learned and became advanced for her age. She studied all about Astorian culture, having a devout faith to the Crescent Queen. Subjects of areas that were also taught were trade routes of Las Islos, every export and import this kingdom produces, and the influential people controlling certain products. The law and role of the government officials in Las Islos took value as well. At just thirteen, She was the youngest woman to obtain Coming of Age day for the Itaca (Merchant) echelon. A day where her training would come to fruition. Her last name given her credibility, she was able to obtain a prestigious job in the Astorian kingdom of Wakatakte. For the many years she stayed in Wakatakte, her world and perception was expanded. She gained knowledge of other cultures and their ways, the whole geography of Mahka Nata and its history, and lastly how to gain control of trade routes. It took her no time to be commanding major and minor trade routes all throughout Wakatakte. She had mastered the art of negotiation, handling small and big trade routes with critical imports and exports. As well as commanding her own ship safely through treacherous waters and attackers. One last thing she learned in her time in this Astorian Kingdom is blood magic. After the assaination of the crescent queen in 1365, Talula who was devastated, and returned home to Las Islos. Her father’s position among the government officials reigning over this kingdom was available. Talula was the perfect candidate for the job and accepted the role. Now at twenty-two, she commands a fleet of five ships and oversees trade routes all over the south of Las Islos and Tortuga River. Her main role is supervising who is coming in with what and vice versa with who is leaving with what. Every ship that passes through the south and into Tortuga River, Talula knows about it.
