Susafe
The susafe (plural: susafim) is a large, migratory bird, big and sturdy enough to ride on. The susafe walks on two legs, and has large feet to support its weight and maintain its balance. While ancestor species could fly, the susafe is flightless, and instead has evolved its wings into thick, hardened weapons it uses to defend itself, or deal damage.
Susafim are highly buoyant, and are faster on water than on land. Floating on water is its primary method of transportation, and it migrates down the oceans during the winter months in the wild.
Various peoples have domesticated and bred susafim for use as vehicle animals over land and water, primarily the latter. During the winter, owners must keep the ir susafim warm, or they will become feral and die of hypothermia soon after. Susafim come in various different colors, and they are often bred for aesthetics.
