Kaharvi Jai

Powerful, witty, and charismatic, Kaharvi Jai is the best known fisherwoman on the coast in Tahwil’s Fayadaan region. She commands the trading post in the central fishing village of Sahkren, where she oversees all imports and exports that may pass through. Fayadaan’s notorious thieves know to keep their distance from the fishingwoman, knowing they cannot win in a battle of wits or strength against her.
Towering at 6’1” with a build of muscle, Kaharvi can be compared to the likes of Fayadaan’s most powerful fishermen. Her long black hair, tangled with salt and wind, is pulled back by a brilliant blue bandana wrapping around her head. She is clothed in layers of common fabric and dress of Fayadaan fishermen, but with some ornate golden touches to separate her from the rest. Usually sporting her signature smug look, Kaharvi knows that she is a force to be reckoned with.
Kaharvi Jai is the most prominent figure in the village of Sahkren, as she does everything in her power to keep Sahkren from delving into complete chaos. She is aided by her band of strong fishermen who have kept Sahkren safe for generations. Since the Tahwilian government does little to protect or aid Sahkren, the generational fishing families of the village have secured themselves as the security of Sahkren.
As an exception to the generational heritage, Kaharvi Jai was found on a merchant’s boat when she was just 4 years old. The Sahkren fishermen who found her say the boat she was found on was notorious for intercepting and interfering with pirates, as the men soon learned that Kaharvi was a child of pirates who fell into the sea during an altercation. When the merchant was confronted about a young girl being found hiding on the deck of his boat, the merchant says she must have climbed onto the boat as a stowaway, and that he had no idea she was there. The fishermen of Sahkren decided to take Kaharvi in, and raised her alongside their children to become the next generation of Sahkren’s fishermen.
