Hathori Khemeni

The third daughter of the Khemeni family, Hathori was born without much hope of inheriting the duchy and as such has mostly been left to her own devices. However, Hathori is aware that the Khemeni’s are primarily a figurehead in Seshat and has been silently accruing power over the city. Outwardly she presents as an immensely devoted follower of Deshret who scorns the university’s Ibis council as profaning against the rightful rule of the crescent queen and her appointed leaders. In secret she’s been gaining followers among the larger university council and is working on a critical mass to pack the Ibis scholars, as nothing in the code of conduct limits their number, with her followers to give her supreme control over the university. She also regularly sends agents into the Adair parts of the city in order to locate the pirate caverns and hopefully take control of the fleet and use it as a navy to control trade through the island.

Her apparent hatred for the university isn’t just a future justification for her power grab, she also uses to convert those on the island who are disillusioned with the influence of the university to her cause, and is trying to gain favor with the high priests of hilael in Amun Ra such that when the time invariably comes that in her quest for control of the island she has to perform a coup against her sister she can do it under the guise of purging heresy from Seshat El Medin and get royal acceptance of her actions.
