Haria Menur

Haria Menur is the designated mosaic artist in Tahwil’s main city district of Al-Hadiqa. Daughter of two noble parents, Haria grew up privileged and wealthy, living in one of the richest quarters of the city, not far from the Nur Palace. She expressed her interest in art at a young age, and was encouraged by her instructors and parents to enter the Academy of Mosaic and Tile Work after intermediate school. Haria was accepted in the academy right away, and soon moved to the Academy to be around her studies full-time. The Academy is north of the Nur Palace and her childhood home, but only about half a day's walk.
In the academy, Haria studied alongside other children of nobles, but no one could pay attention to detail quite like her. Haria stood out to her instructors, as they took note of her diligence and passion. By third year at the academy, she was transferred to the royal mosaic studio neighboring the palace, where she directly studied under the current royal mosaic artist Palibo Turmen. Palibo made Haria his apprentice upon her graduation, which is where Haria is presently.
Specializing in Lundirite lapidary, Haria is trusted to carefully handle the mineral with care as she carves it into the shapes necessary for mosaics. She creates beautiful, moonlit scenes of Deshret and Hilaelian religious practices. These mosaics are used for a number of occasions such as celebrations, permanent installations, or special requests from the Crescent Queen herself.
