Glowshroom Lantern

Within the acid swamp, the use of the Glowshroom lantern is common. Invented by Mubtak Akir, the Glowshroom lantern is a lighting device that uses bioluminescent swamp mushrooms. It creates an ethereal glow that can help to light up even the darkest corners of a bog spinner’s nest. Glowshrooms originate from the heart of the acid swamp, and can be difficult to dig up because they grow directly out of the acid water. Glowshrooms are not dangerous to touch as long as they don’t have any of the acidic liquid on them that they are growing out of. Glowshrooms are not just unique because of the way they glow, but also their infusion with alchemy that Mubtak Akir discovered. When Glowshrooms are incorporated into alchemy they can create healing potions, glowing lanterns, and magic-enhancing potions. The Glowshroom is used as a light source within the swamp and has been rapidly spreading throughout the nearby kingdoms as a sustainable light source. It is better than traditional lanterns in numerous ways, such as lasting longer and emitting a stronger light than normal lanterns. It is also fairly easy to maintain, the glass part of the lantern is reusable, when the glowshrooms light starts to fade at around a month to two months it can easily be replaced by Mubtak Akir who will do the replacement for free. It can also be seen as a symbol of hope and resilience coming from such a harsh environment like the acid swamp. It stands in as a beacon for those who are lost, travelers, and in recent developing folklore, is thought to ward off evil nocturnal creatures and omens.
