Crescent Queen Mosaic

Decorated with beautiful mosaics, the Amun’rah Palace in Khasut is an incredible sight of Hilaelian artwork and craftsmanship. The largest mosaic is installed in the Crescent Queen’s throne room, reaching from floor to ceiling behind her throne. Made from the highest quality of materials in the kingdom, the mosaic also incorporates the rare mineral Lundirite, imported from the mountains of Tahwil. At night when the moon is high, slats in the ceiling illuminate the mosaic, reflecting the Lundirite that casts an ethereal, shimmering glow across the throne room.   After Khaust was founded in 1001, mosaic and tile work quickly began to appear on almost every structure in the kingdom. As the Amun’rah palace was being constructed, the best mosaic artists in Khaust were assembled to create the grand Crescent Queen mosaic. The mosaic took a total 7 months to complete from construction to installation in the palace. Easily the largest and most beautiful mosaic in Khasut, Hilaelians from far and wide travel to the kingdom just for a chance to see it. On special occasions and celebrations, common Hilaelian people are welcomed into the throne room to witness the grandeur of the Crescent Queen mosaic.
