Location: Khasut   The Cosmic crab is a large crustacean that is commonly fished off the coast of Khasut. Its large body and meat-filled legs make it a delicious meat for those who can afford it. This creature is nocturnal and is difficult to see for those who aren't used to their behaviors.   Appearance Description The Cosmic crab being a crustacean has a flat oval shaped body. Supporting its body with ten limbs, the front two being clawed. The eyes a golden yellow protrude outward and up supported by eye sticks. Their outer shell is a jet black with purple highlight that resembles the cosmos at night. A random spackle of white dots on the shell continues the resemblance to the cosmic night, mirroring distance stars.   History Fishers from Khasut first discovered the cosmic crab a year after the city was founded. At first people mistook the crab for a monster that lurked in the shadows. It would take months for the fishers to realize the monster they thought was talking their shoreline was just a crab that was adept at camouflage during the night.   Culture The Cosmic crab is a very social creature. They rover around in groups trying to find food and just generally vibing with each other. Several fishers have sighted several crabs clapping their claws for no apparent reason. From rhythmic patterns to waiting for each other in a call and response manner. Several folks have speculated that the crabs have their own communication system using their claws.   The Cosmic crab can be cooked into a variety of delicious meals. The legs are filled with stringy meat.. The large claws can be extracted to be cooked. The body has some meat but it's harder to cook and less tasteful according to many who have tried it.
