Cool Temp housing

In the kingdom of Khasut it isn’t uncommon for temperatures to reach sweltering temperatures. To help combat the heat the residents of Khasut worked in cooling elements to their architecture. The different cooling elements and their function include: 1) Lighter colors: The lighter colors are applied to the walls and roof of the houses and buildings. The lighter colors allow the sun to be reflected off therefore the buildings are gaining as much heat. 2) Water sources: Throughout the kingdom of Khasut it is never difficult to find a place to cool off with a refreshing drink of water. There are fountains and drinking fountains scattered all throughout the kingdom to help deal with the hot months. 3) Courtyards: Adorning many of the homes in Khasut are patios, courtyards, and open gardens. The use of these open areas both are aesthetically pleasing to look at, functional in those who want to grow their own food, encourage airflow, and create shaded places to relax in. 4) Fruit trees: Lining many of the streets are fruit trees. These trees can provide a nice snack but also are more commonly used for the shade that they create.
