Deep in the acid swamp well past when the fetid conditions of the land would kill your average traveler, there is rumored to exist a small forest no more than a mile on a side. A forest that is untouched by the geographic corruption that plagues the rest of the acid swamp. Living within this grove there is supposed to be a lost Adair commune that is completely removed from the modern world, living the same way that the Adair did when they first came to Makha Nata.

Several explorations into the acid swamp have been launched to try and find An Glean, most were small fares as the majority of people don’t take the myth seriously. Those ventures have either returned without any success or been lost somewhere in the acid swamp never seen again. Despite the complete lack of evidence that the grove exists, most villages and communes that border the acid swamp have at least one person who’s willing to spin tales of a secret comune deep in the swamp. When called on the tale most tellers will either point towards canpasa za as evidence that strange things can happen in forests although some will modify the tale and say that as the centuries passed the swamp slowly encroached on the grove and the people adapted to it becoming strange distorted monsters that prowl the swamp unaware that they were ever human. That latter variation has also proliferated among the younger generations as it has proved to be a very effective tool to keep children from wandering into the acid swamp.
