Acid Swamp

The Acid Swamp is a portion of inhabitable land that borders most of the kingdoms, such as Madhiba, Aqawichak’ya, Las Isloyatan Kheya, Khasut, Kaliq-Hala, and Tahwil. The Acid Swamp is located right in the middle of Mahka Nata. What used to be very fertile land, the kingdoms would battle over this land so frequently that it ended up permanently damaging the environment. The magic and alchemy that were used in the battles over this land transformed it into an inhabitable acid swamp, too dangerous to live in, even the fumes within the acid swamp could make someone sick. Now, due to all the bloodshed making the environment the way it is, no kingdom wants the land.



Over time, the fauna and flora that originally inhabited the land began to adapt to the acidic swampy environment. Animals adapted and evolved to be able to withstand the toxic water and air, their bodies absorbing those chemicals and began to use this acidity for their own protection. Plants developed a resistance to the acidic soil, their roots now able to delve deeper into the ground to draw more nutrients.



Glowshrooms, Bog spinners, Acid Croakers, Mire Newts, and many more animals grew into existence. Most of these animals, are now able to live peacefully in their toxic land because the kingdoms can no longer intrude on their home and create farms or villages out of the land that is there.



The Acid Swamp is a mysterious land of life and death, discovery, and danger.
