A Scholar's Notes on The Sacred Texts

The notes of Aštorian linguist and scholar Raįža Mak' Ąpahųku contain various excerpts of the Holy Writings of the Tipi ųčh Inaįyųkh or the Church of Mąka the Anointed Mother. The notes are written in a set of three scrolls containing excerpts from five stories within the Sacred Texts: Provenance, Parable of the Unicorn, The Four Miracles, Parable of Nails, and the Gospel of the Wheel. The excerpts, while incomplete, contain verses from the writings of Čaška, Ȟaroltą, and Akhčta as well as a historical account of the ancient ancestors of Mahka Nata: the Anasažį. The scrolls are old and notably travel-worn, and some of the handwritten text is illegible. There is little consitency to the size of the scrolls and the texts within were likely authored by different writers at separate points in time. Additional annotations have been made to the margins of the scroll attributed to Raįža Mak' Ąpahųku. The scrolls, while not written in Aštoryapi or any other language of Mahka Nata can be understood by any reader, Raįža Mak' Ąpahųku speculates on this mystery in her annotations, stating that the scrolls were perhaps soaked in an alchemical elixir by a previous author or blessed by Mąka Herself.
