Aetherborn

Aetherborn (PSK)

Aetherborn are creatures consisting of pure mana, born and gaining consciousness by the pure wild flow of magic. They are said to originate from the different Magical Nexus points across the world, which range in size and power, and are often seeked out for their concentrated magical energy. The aetherborn are naturally curious and capable, yet many of them fall into hedonism due to their short lifespans and desire to experience as much as possible. It is said all their memories go back to the cores of the Magical Nexus they originated from.

Age: Aetherborn come into being as adults and have an average lifespan of a decade.

Creature Type: Construct

Size: You are Medium or Small. You choose the size when you select this race. Aetherborn are quite light, weighing no more than 100 pounds, and often reduce in weight the older they get, as they gradually dissipate.

Speed: 30 ft.

Darkvision. You have Darkvision with a range of 60 feet.

Born of Aether. You have Resistance to Necrotic damage and magical healing works on you normally.

Sociable. You gain proficiency in one of the following skills: Intimidation, Persuasion, Deception or Performance.

Gift of the Aether. Your connection to your Magical Nexus of Origin grants you access to shared memories among others of your kind that have passed on. Every Long Rest you can select one skill, tool or instrument of your choice. You gain proficiency in that skill, tool or instrument until you take another Long Rest.
