Firbolg

Firbolg are wanders at heart and incredibly in tune with nature. No one quite knows where the Firbolg came from, but they are known for their gentle hearts and warm personalities. Firbolg are most commonly traders of rare and unique artifacts, but a few have been known to take part in world affairs. Firbolgs associate strongly with the Druids of the world, offering advice and carrying on ancient knowledge lost to time. Elves and elder races seek Firbolg's out for their knowledge of ancient times and how the world was.

Family Dynamics

Firbolg's have a heavy emphasis on clans and their relationships with each other. While Elves, Dwarves, Humans, and other races will excuse certain uncouthe behaviors, a Firbolg must first honor the family and clan. To abandoned this duty to abandoned the duties of the Firbolgs. Dishonor is hard to repair and runs deeper than in their cousins, the Giants. 
A clan will typically live in a compound. It is not unusal for multiple family generations (up to 6 at any point) to live in the same complex. Males will bring their wives into the family line. Once married, females leave and join the clan they are married into. 

History

Firbolg's are distant cousins to the Giants and Goliaths of the world. Once thought to be the redhead stepchild of Giants, Firbolg have developed their own unique cultural heritage and seperated completely from their relatives. Grey skinned and lightly furred, Firbolgs carry themselves carefuly in the world they live in. They are not as brutish as Goliaths, but can all upon that strength should the need arise.
Firbolgs once stood together against the Ravenfolk in a great war that time has forgotten.
