Space Warfare Badge

The Space Warfare Badge is a badge awarded to Interstellar Navy officers.

Space Warfare Badge (Basic)

The SWB (Basic) is a silver disc containing an image of the ancient Earth Astronaut pin over a silver depiction of a starship and indicates that an officer of the ISN has successfully demonstrated competence in space warfare operations.

Space Warfare Badge (Command)

The Command Space Warfare Badge is the same insignia, rendered in gold. While attainment of the SWB(Basic) is more or less a simple matter of time invested in space operations, the SWB(Command) indicates that the officer has successfully completed the Space Tactics Command Training Course (STCT, colloquially referred to as "the Stacker"). An officer has three opportunities to complete the Stacker within five calendar years of promotion to Lieutenant. If successful, they earn the Command SWB and the right to apply for independent starship command once they reach the grade of Lieutenant Commander.
